I think the bin could be changed maybe twice a week instead of once a week. There seems to be a constant overspill of rubbish near the front gate. A common pond would be an idea. It would attract a wide range of animals and insects that would inprve the sites eco system. I'm not sure about a common BBQ area. This will only attract vermin like rats, which no matter how careful people are they will still attract the pests.

i think it would be nicer at Ferry road allotments if the person who has 'borrowed' our digging spade and fork brought them back.
Otherwise i am rarely happier than when i am there on a sunny day, perhaps with foxes strolling by.

I'll raise these ideas at the next committee meeting. A pond is a great idea...I wonder if the person who 'borrowed' your spade is the same person who 'borrowed' other folks fruit and veg last summer?

We're looking for ideas on how you would improve the Ferry Road Allotment Site. Would you build a common composting site? A BBQ area? Could we use our sheds better? All proposals for site improvements welcome here.
